Tour around Nihonbashi and Kyobashi, Tokyo to enjoy and experience art at
"Tokyo Art & Antiques 2025" held from April 24 to April 26!
Many people are around the gallery with the map during the Tokyo Art & Antique Festival
The Tokyo Art Antique Executive Association has three days from April 24, 2025 (Thu) to April 26 (Sat), Tokyo Art Antique 2025 -Nihonbashi / Kyobashi Art Festival (hereinafter, Tokyo Art Antique). We will hold it. This is the 15th time, and about 80 art shops, galleries, and galleries participate each year.
The next 15th event will hold an event focusing on practical "learning". As one of them, we will invite several artists who are currently active with the theme of art tradition and technology, and talk about the traditions and technologies that they/them have inherited and developed, and the way of thinking about art and production. By creating such a place, you can understand the art work more deeply and enjoy it.
In addition, we invite flowers and coordination experts to see how they can actually use the gallery tours by influencers who send art commentary and information. I will introduce it in the exhibition examples used.
In the Nihonbashi and Kyobashi areas in Chuo -ku, Tokyo, there are about 150 specialty stores that handle old art, crafts, Japanese paintings, modern paintings, sculptures, and prints since the war. The area where such a large number of art shops are crowded is unusual in the world, and it is a historic art and culture where Showa literary writers, artists, and politicians have been in search of art. Taking advantage of its regional characteristics, Tokyo Art Antique began in 1998 as the "Nihonbashi / Kyobashi Art Antique Festival", and was held in 2010 for three days before Golden Week, since the name was changed to "Tokyo Art & Antiques".
Furthermore, local art business "Art Power KYOBASHI", which includes public art exhibitions at toDa Building opened in November 2024, and "Art in Tokyo YNK", which is held at the Tokyo Square Garden's office building lobby. Companies are also focusing on the depth of the relationship with the art in this area, strongly exposing the aspects of the "art city". In addition, the Nihonbashi and Kyobashi areas are transforming into a new “art city” that responds to a wide range of generations, with the “CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO” and the gallery of the contemporary in the toda building.
During the Tokyo Art Antique period, more than 50 special exhibitions are held at each store each year. Like a museum, instead of passing through glass, you can learn about art through communication with shopkeepers and writers while actually picking up the works from young writers to top -notch art, and you can feel familiar and feel as part of your life. It is an opportunity to be able to do it. We hope you enjoy the art for three days before Golden Week.
