What bothers us most would be the forgery problem in the art market. We assume that clients also are very concerned about fakes when they decide to buy an artwork. Concerning a work which requires the certificate of authenticity, we sell our artworks after acquiring the necessary certificate from the official institution or authorized experts. Sometimes we find some counterfeit paintings in the market since the certificate is not always issued in general for the works created by living artists. Gallery Suiha have a close relationship with living artists so that clients can purchase only real artworks from us at ease.
Since the foundation in 1990,Gallery Suiha has dealt in a wide variety of artworks including paintings, watercolours, drawings and prints created by world-famous masters and popular French artists. However we think it insufficient as an art dealer just to introduce works accepted and recognized in the art market. We have worked on actively introducing talented young artists. For this purpose, we have tried to find promising overseas artists unknown to Japan. In addition we have invited overseas artists and organized their sole exhibitions at leading department stores across Japan to interact with Japanese customers. We intend to find and introduce promising artists who will create new value based on their free ideas without being tied to traditional convention.
In order to make our gallery more accessible for everyone, we have a Web page on the Internet for a first-time visitor.
